Get ready to Shoryuken some zombies into mincemeat.

Open-world zombie apocalypse simulator Dead Rising 4 may not have slaughtered its way to the top of the sales charts when it launched on Xbox One late last year, but that hasn't stopped developer Capcom from putting some serious effort behind its upcoming re-release on PS4.

Alongside the launch of Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package on Sony's console, all versions of Dead Rising 4 will be getting a free update in the form of Capcom Heroes, which will add a slew of costumes for protagonist Frank West styled after popular characters from other Capcom franchises.

In addition to the previously-announced Devil May Cry, Mega Man and Ghost Trick costumes, Capcom has today shown off a bunch of Street Fighter costumes coming in the free update. These costumes include popular fighters Ryu, Akuma, Cammy, M. Bison and Mecha-Zangief. You can see them in action in the trailer below:

The costumes aren't just cosmetic items, either, as each grants Frank West new abilities based on the character they're styled after. As Mecha-Zangief, West can execute a pile-driver; as M. Bison, he can teleport; and as Ryu, he can perform the fighter's iconic Shoryuken move.

Both the free Capcom Heroes update and the PS4 release of Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package will launch on 5 December.
