The David Jones credit card has unique programs for their cardholders that are unlike any other offers available from other cards. Find out what these offers are by taking a look at this article.

Every time you use the David Jones credit card, it is like you are taking out a loan. Card issuers expect a minimum amount to be paid every month by the specified due date. You will not be charged interest if you pay off your balances on time and in full every month, but if you are unable to do so then interest charges on balances will usually accrue.

David Jones credit card review

Credit plan

David Jones Credit Card holders may be offered a credit option with interest-free instalments or a promotion with deferred payments for any purchases made at a David Jones store.

When it is made available, a cardholder can choose a promotion or credit plan that will be applied to a purchase. The following specifications will be made:

  • The conditions of the promotion, such as which departments are eligible and whether there is a requirement for a minimum deposit.
  • How long the deferred payment promotion or the credit option with an interest-free instalment will be available.
  • The features of the promotion with deferred payments, or the credit option with interest-free instalments, will be outlined.

Credit options with interest-free instalments

Once this option is offered, the number of months for the instalment credit option will be specified by David Jones. It may be a 12 or 12 month option for example. You will not be charged any interest as long as you pay at least a monthly payment along with your monthly instalments that are in line with your credit card statement.

The purchase is divided into equal instalments that are paid monthly. The number of months will be the same as the number of months specified in the credit option. A credit plan instalment is added to your minimum payment and standard plan balance for each month specified.

The first instalment is included in the account statement for the time period that includes the purchase date.

Promotions for deferred payments

When you use your David Jones credit card at David Jones you can make use of the available deferred payment promotion.

There are two different types of promotions for deferred payments offered by David Jones, and they include the Christmas Deferred Payment Option and the Fashion Pay Later Option. They last for the specified number of months from the date of purchase.

When you make a purchase of $500 or more on women's and men's clothing at David Jones, and use your David Jones credit card, you will be given a three-month deferred payment period.

The Christmas Deferred Payment Option allows you to put off paying your Christmas spending balance until February of the following year. This is valid on any purchases made between November 1 and December 24, which gives you a great chance to make your purchases without having to worry about paying them back in January.

Payment arrangements

Anybody can have a financial emergency happen in their lives and the David Jones credit card company understands this. Stay in contact with the David Jones company and they will tell you about all of your options for payment arrangements.

The David Jones credit card offers these unique programs to help regular cardholders maintain control of their finances, while still shopping as they normally would. It is a good idea to check them out to see what they can do for you.
