Where do cruises depart from in Rome?

Civitavecchia Port is the nearest port from Rome that facilitates the departure and arrival of cruises. Italy has two international airports: Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport at Fiumicino (Rome Fiumicino) and Ciampino-G. B. Pastine International Airport, or simply Rome Ciampino.

There is no direct public transport from either of the two airports. From both airports, you have to take a train to Rome’s city centre, followed by another train ride to Civitavecchia Port.

Airport to cruise terminal transfers

A taxi or private airport shuttle takes around 45 minutes from Fiumicino Airport and one hour from Ciampino Airport. Private shuttles are more common than shared.

Prices start from $42.13 each way for a private transfer direct to the port. These can be booked online with Viator
