Transport Mutual Credit Union began operations in 1964 in the form of Main Roads Staff Credit Union with the aim of catering to the banking needs of employees of the NSW Department of Main Roads and their family members. In 1989, when the NSW Government formed the Roads and Traffic Authority, this credit union changed its name to RTA Staff Credit Union. In 2011, after the Roads and Traffic Authority became Roads & Maritime Services, the name, Transport Mutual Credit Union, came into effect. This credit union now accepts members from all walks of lives, and it offers them a wide selection of financial services and products.
