  • Low rate credit cards

Ideal if you end up carrying a balance from month to month, compare low rate credit cards by the annual fee and the number of interest free days on offer. Interest free days don’t apply if you’re carrying a balance — like if you took up the 0% p.a. for 12 month balance transfer offer on the Queenslanders Credit Union Low Rate MasterCard for example — interest is charged right away. Low rate credit cards are cheap to use compared to a platinum or frequent flyer credit card. If interest is charged, you won’t pay as much.
