CQout Review | Pros and Cons

  • Support available via a helpline or over email. Helplines are manned by real customer service representatives, surely a relief for all those who loathe to communicate with automated voice recordings.
  • All sellers are subject to a stringent application process, and are only able to sell after they have been approved.
  • You can select your country to view item prices and shipping costs in your own currency.
  • If you are a seller, CQout’s commission system will work in your favour. Sellers are not charged a percentage of the sale price to list their items.

  • Seasoned online sellers and buyers might find the graphical elements at CQout a bit lacking.
  • Buyers are charged a percentage of the item’s purchase price as a commission by CQout. In many other online auction sites, just the sellers are charged to list their items for sale.

CQout vs eBay

CQout operates a similar service to eBay. It provides an online platform that enables a wide range of goods to be bought and sold between individuals. Like eBay, it enables goods to be auctioned, or bought outright at a price set by the seller. Being a much smaller site, however, CQout does not attract nearly as much traffic as eBay. For sellers, it could mean that the item takes longer to sell, and for buyers there may be a smaller range to choose from. The fees system is also slightly different between the two sites. On eBay, the seller assumes the responsibility of paying a commission for the listing. On CQout, the buyer must pay a percentage at the time of purchase.

What are CQout’s fees and charges?

Buyers can choose to check out with EasyPay or SecurePay. Both methods of payments are SSL and act as a secure, quick-and-easy system for transferring funds over CQout. EasyPay charges the buyer 0.5% of the purchase price, but offers no protection against incorrectly described items. SecurePay costs 5.9% of the total buying price and guarantees refunds if the items are not as described.

How does CQout shipping and delivery work?

Any items purchased on CQout will be subject to the merchant’s policies and processes for shipping and delivery. They can very greatly. Shipping and delivery times and costs will generally be listed on each individual listing, or on the seller’s page. If you’re unsure, you can contact the seller directly.

How do I return items to CQout?

Each individual merchant that uses CQout as a platform for selling will have their own returns policy. Read the product description carefully, or contact the seller if you’re not sure. If you check out with SecurePay your money will be refunded to you if the item you bought is not as described.

What forms of payment does CQout accept?

All payments made over CQout are protected by CQout’s secure, in-house payment systems. You can use any Visa debit or credit card that is ‘Verified by Visa’ or any ‘SecureCode’ MasterCard credit or debit card.
