Converse x TAKAHIROMIYASHITA CX Disrupt sneakers: First look
The latest collab sees the arrival of two new artistic sneaker styles.
Japanese label TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. has once again teamed up with sneaker brand Converse for a sleek collection that you'll want to add to your sneaker rotation. With two new designs slated to drop later this week, we're taking a closer look at the kicks that have already accumulated a huge amount of hype online.
Release date: 12 March
Price: US$155
Where to buy: END.
The labels have created both a black and white iteration of the Avant-Garde CX Disrupt Duo sneakers, with each one showcasing minimalist detailing.
Covering the Converse in its house symbols, TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. has chosen "I AM THE SOLOIST." branding to appear on the triangular rubber mid-panel tab. "HELLO! I AM THE SOLOIST. SINCE 2010" phrasing meanwhile comes on the mid-panel on the medial side.
The Converse branding is meanwhile kept low-key, with a simple star-emblem featured on the medial side and on the sole unit at the rear.
A split sole gives the kicks a truly artsy aesthetic, with the rear sporting a stacked design with waffle detailing. Rubber toe caps and rope laces in the same colour as the rest of the shoe completes the design.
Both pairs are slated to drop onto the END. site from 12 March for US$155. We're hoping that, after the initial launch, we'll also see them on the Converse website as well as in stockists such as JD Sports, but there's no word on that just yet.
In other news, a new pair of self-lacing Nike sneakers has just been leaked online. Dubbed "Auto Max Adapt LE 01", the kicks take on a futuristic grey and neon-orange style, with 3D designs hiding the smart lacing mechanism.
