Contiki offering Reading Festival tour packages for 2018
The tour company for younger travellers has announced festival experiences with a slew of VIP extras.
Contiki has always been the go-to tour company for 18-35-year-olds looking for an epic adventure but it's just switched it's up a notch.
After offering tours for Aussie festivals recently, Contiki has just launched two new itineraries centred around one of the world’s biggest music festivals: UK’s Reading Festival. The festival is the longest running in existence featuring everything from rock and indie to R&B and hip-hop.
Headline acts this year feature big name acts like Fall out Boy, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Kings of Leon and Diplo.
Choosing to experience Reading Festival as part of a tour is the perfect mashup of music and travel and eliminates the stress that comes from trying to nab festival tickets before they sell out.
The new tours have extra music experiences included, as well as the chance to see some of the UK’s top destinations all in one tour package.
Music-lovers will be dropped off at the festival gates in style by luxury coach and be based in the best location on-site with pre-erected premium tents and a staffed reception. Tents include an air mattress and sleeping bags plus a VIP pamper zone fully decked out with private showers and toilets.
Premium extras also include hair dryers, straighteners, unlimited phone charging stations and breakfast each morning.
Contiki has created two different itineraries, a full ten-day experience that includes six days of music and travel and four nights of festival fun and a shorter seven day itinerary with four days of sightseeing and four nights at the festival.
In them, festival-goers will visit some of the UK’s best-loved destinations - think ghost hunting in York, Banksy spotting in Bristol and river cruising in the Lake District.
Here's the breakdown:
Departing from London on 18 August, the 10-day trip will visit UK destinations including York, Cambridge, Liverpool, Birmingham and Cardiff, before heading to the Reading Festival.
Departing from London on 21 August, this trip heads to Oxford, Bath and Bristol, before reaching the main Reading festival event.
