Complete list of Xbox Play Anywhere Games: 12 games and counting

Brodie Fogg 14 June 2016

Microsoft has announced Xbox Play Anywhere, a feature that allows Xbox fans to play their first party titles on both Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. Here is every title confirmed, so far.

Not unlike Sony's slowly evaporating cross-buy system, the recently announced Xbox Play Anywhere feature allows gamers to play any purchased title (with a Play Anywhere sticker of approval) on console and Windows 10 PC. That means when you purchase a first-party Xbox or Windows title, you're essentially gifted the other platform's version for free. In our opinion, it's about time.

The feature also allows for cross-save functionality, meaning you can save on your progress on Xbox and pick up where you left off on your PC.

The first game announced for the Play Anywhere program was Gears of War 4, but a slew of first-party games soon followed. There's no word yet on whether this offer will extend to third-party titles, but Microsoft has suggested that first-party titles will continue to receive the Play Anywhere treatment at release.
