On the hunt for a new concealer? We think we've found the one and it's under $10.
Whenever I'm bored and online shopping, I always find myself on the ColourPop site. Not only are there always new collections to check out, but everything is super affordable and really enticing. How can I say no to another Super Shock shadow when it's under $10? During my browsing, I stumbled across the ColourPop No Filter Matte Concealer. It's the only concealer formula currently available at ColourPop and it has well over 3,000 reviews on the site... so did I really need any more convincing? I've tried a large handful of concealers so I was ready to give this one a red hot go!
The quick verdict
Why is it good? It's a full coverage concealer, delivering a creaseless finish – no filter required.
How much is it? Just under $10.
Where to buy it? ColourPop
The No Filter Matte concealer promises to instantly conceal and cover any redness or blemishes you may have. The formula is supposed to be lightweight and super blendable. I really don't like concealers that dry down too quickly, because it just makes the formula really hard to work with. This concealer is different and is actually super easy to use. Application is always smooth and seamless, and one swipe delivers a ton of full-coverage pigment.
Why is no filter needed? ColourPop's concealer is formulated with soft blurring pigment technology to help you get that flawless complexion. While the formula is matte, these pigments work to brighten the skin, making you look luminous, but not dewy.
ColourPop's concealer is long-wearing, while still looking natural on the skin. The formula is infused with marine extracts and these work to hydrate and protect the delicate skin under the eyes. It's also the reason why the concealer is so creamy. As with all beauty items from ColourPop, the concealer is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Shopping for a concealer shade online can be a daunting task. Will it be too light or too dark? Will it to be too yellow or pink? If the concealer shade is off, it would be pretty hard not to tell. But the team over at ColourPop know how to help.
Picking out my shade of the ColourPop No Filter Concealer was super easy! There are a total of 30 shades to choose from and there is a great variety of colours and tones. The site supplies you with a tool where you pick your skin tone and your undertone, and then it provides you with a few suggestions to choose from. You can see real-life swatches of all the shades so it's basically fool-proof.
I simply swipe on the concealer and blend it out with my beauty sponge. The formula isn't too wet or too dry so again, it's really easy to use. I did try to use it once with one of the ColourPop brushes and that worked fine, but I prefer the finish of a damp makeup sponge. I personally use this one here from Real Techniques.
I have nothing bad to say about this concealer and I really recommend you give it a go! If you're still not convinced, you can check out our guide to the best concealers here.
Affordability
ColourPop is known for being an affordable beauty brand, so of course, this concealer is priced at just under $10. I love the formula so I am more than happy to repurchase again and again.
