Collect 50k bonus points with the Qantas Amex Premium card
Get a free flight to Vegas with 50,000 bonus points on the Qantas American Express Premium card.
We’ve got some good news for Qantas Points chasers. The Qantas American Express Premium card now boasts a larger bonus points offer for an exclusive group of new cardholders. While the card offers 30,000 bonus Qantas Points everywhere else, applicants who apply through finder.com.au will enjoy a larger 50,000 bonus points deal.
To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need to apply by 30 June 2017 and spend at least $1,500 in the first three months of card approval to earn the bonus points. These are the same spend requirements you’ll need to collect the 30,000 bonus points, but through finder you’ll pick up an extra 20,000 Qantas Points. Talk about getting extra bang for your buck.
So, exactly what could you redeem with your bonus points bounty? Currently, 50,000 Qantas Points could get you a Business class flight from Sydney to Denpasar. It could also get you a one-way Economy ticket from Sydney to Vancouver or Las Vegas (both 45,000 points) or return Economy from Sydney to Auckland (36,000 points). If this has woken your inner wanderlust, you can visit the Qantas website to compare more ways to redeem your points. Please note that it can take between 8 to 10 weeks for the bonus Qantas Points to be credited to your account.
You’ll also continue to earn 1.25 Qantas Points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases with the card. You can collect an additional 1 point and earn 2.25 Qantas Points per $1 when you use the card to pay for selected Qantas products and services in Australia. The Qantas Amex Premium card is also one of the few cards that rewards cardholders for paying ATO bills, giving you 0.5 Qantas Points per dollar.
Designed for globe-trotters, other travel-centric perks include two Qantas Club Lounge invitations each year, complimentary travel insurance and Global Card Support.
These features come at the cost of a $249 annual fee and your purchases will also collect a purchase rate of 20.74% p.a. The card comes with a bunch of other features, fees and rates, though, so make sure to checkout our full review of the Qantas American Express Premium credit card before you apply.
