      Hello Roy,

      Thank you for your comment.

Most of the credit cards featured on our pages are offered to permanent residents and citizens of Australia. If you’re an international student and temporarily residing in Australia with eligible visa, you may check the credit card products listed on this page.

Please note that the credit limit is to be set by the provider and this is being assessed based on many factors. Before you send an application, make sure you are eligible. I hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Jhezelyn

With the Coles Mastercard, what is considered an “eligible purchase”? Also what is the cost for an additional card holder?

      JhezelynApril 6, 2018Staff

      Hello Sandra,

      Thank you for your purchase.

According to the Coles Mastercard Reward terms and conditions, an Eligible Transaction means any purchase excluding (but not limited to) Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, BPAY payments, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, payments to other Citi accounts, bank fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges, transactions made using flybuys Points and government related transactions. This in indicated in part 1 of the terms and conditions. For the additional cardholder, there’s no charge for yearly additional cardholder fee.

      Regards,
      Jhezelyn

    Hi,

I have a 28 degrees card (with a small credit card limit) which I use when I travel internationally. I can load this with cash prior to pay for things (eg. accommodation) that may cost more than my credit card limit. Is it possible to do this with the Coles card?

Does using the card while travelling internationally attract flybuys points?

    Cheers,
    VV

      Hi Vv,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Typically you can earn flybuy points through eligible transactions that exclude cash advances, credit fees or charges, credits, refunds, reimbursements, business purchases or balance transfers into your account.

I hope this information has helped.

      Cheers,
      Harold

      HaroldApril 20, 2017Staff

      Hi Leanne,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

In general, across-border assessment fee and a currency conversion assessment fee is charged when you withdraw cash from an automatic teller machine outside Australia or when you make a cash advance at international merchants in a currency other than Australian dollars.

I hope this information has helped.

      Cheers,
      Harold

      Hi Tim,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

So long that Jetstar or Qantas accepts your card as a form of payment, then you can use your Coles MasterCard for your ticket purchases with these airlines.

I have this card and it has a “International Transaction Fee: 2.5% on all purchases and cash. Refer to Financial Table.”. That sounds like an international transaction fee yet your comparison does not show this?

    • Staff
      YsaJune 6, 2016Staff

      Hi Adam,

      Thanks for your question.

As mentioned above, there is no international transaction fees on purchases when you shop online or when you’re overseas. While the 2.5% only applies on cash withdrawals outside of Australia or in a foreign currency.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

      Cheers,
      Ysa

    1) Is there a fee for an additional card?
    2) Which bank is this credit card organised through?
    3) Do you have security that detects unusual activity on you card
    and notifies us immediately?

      Hi Deb,

Thanks for your questions. Please note that finder.com.au is a financial comparison and information service and not Coles.

      Here are my answers:

      1. Coles Rewards MasterCard does not charge for yearly additional cardholder fee.
      2. It is among the credit cards offered by Latitude Financial Services
      3. Your credit card has three layers of defence against fraud and theft as discussed on the page I’ve sent to your email.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

Just wondering why this says there are no foreign transaction fees on this card since I have this card and it charges 2.5% plus a $4 fee for at the moment withdrawal or $5 over the counter fee. And that’s not including cash advance fees either.

    • Staff
      MayApril 13, 2016Staff

      Hi Lauren,

      Thanks for getting in touch.

Yes, Coles Rewards MasterCard charges $2.50 and $4 on overseas cash advance and overseas ATM withdrawal fees, respectively. This is actually outlined in the “fees and repayments” section of the table above.

As for the foreign transaction fees, when making purchases overseas and on international sites, merchants usually charge you with international transaction fees for every transaction. But with this card, you can save on costs by paying no international transaction fees on purchases you make.

      Hope this answers your question.

      Cheers,
      May
