    Hi
My question is….Can you deposit money into your prepaid reloadable card at a Coles store? Also, can you transfer money on from another account into the card. For both questions are the funds available immediately?

      Hi Carol,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

For your first question, unfortunately, you cannot currently Top-Up or relaod your Coles Reloadable MasterCard in Coles Supermarkets. However, you can Top-Up/reload via direct deposit from your bank account or another MasterCard or Visa debit card.

If you haven’t increased your limit, you can store a maximum of $1,000 on your Card at any one time. Over a 365 day period you can reload up to a total of $6,000. If you have increased your limit, you can store a maximum of $10,000 and reload unlimited times and the funds will be available immediately.

Hope this has answered your questions.

      Cheers,
      May

Really regret purchasing this card. My card got swallowed by an ATM and the only thing they suggested was to order a replacement card with $5 fee. I couldn’t even withdraw cash when I needed it and now I have to pay additional fee for the replacement card. Also, there’s $4 fee if you contact the call centre and there’s $10 fee to close the account. Stay away from this product!

Do I receive a virtual copy of Coles Reloadable Mastercard when I purchase online?

      Hi 2beeinspired,

Thanks for your inquiry. Just to confirm, you’ve come through to finder.com.au we are an Australian financial comparison website and general information service, not actually Coles.

There’s no virtual copy of Coles Reloadable Mastercard that you will receive when shopping online.

You can purchase Coles Reloadable MasterCard online by following the simple steps. Once you receive your card in the mail, follow the steps to activate your Coles Prepaid Card online, and access the Prepaid Service Centre to manage your card then start shopping online.

      Hi Teena,

      Thank you for your question.

Limits may apply in relation to using the Coles Reloadable MasterCard at ATMs. You are able to store a maximum of $1,000 on to your card any one time. As stated in the PDS, if you have not increased your Card Limit, you can’t use the card at ATMs overseas and withdraw more than $300 per day at ATMs in Australia.

Starting 1st July 2016 if you have not increased your card Limit, the maximum you can withdraw from ATMs will be reduced from $1,000 to $300 per day. If you increase your card limit, you can use ATMs in both Australia and overseas.

To increase your card limit, you may need to log into the Prepaid Service Centre of Coles MasterCard.

      Cheers,
      May

Is there a standard charge for using the Coles reloadable card at an ATM overseas?

    • Staff
      Anndy | August 17, 2016

      Hi Selnec,

      Thanks for your question.

Coles will not charge you for withdrawing money at an ATM overseas where MasterCard or Cirrus is accepted. However, third party ATM providers may charge you fees when you use their machine. The amount of these fees if they apply, is set by the ATM provider.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

    Hello

Can I top up from a Coles reloadable prepaid MasterCard from

    A) AU bank saving account
    B) Paypal Account

Can I set an automatic top up amount when a certain balance is reached?

    Thanks,
    John

      Hi John,

      Thanks for your question.

You can top up your Coles reloadable prepaid MasterCard from your AU bank account, however there is no PayPal functionality as of yet.

You can set up alerts when your balance falls below a set amount, though you can’t set up an auto-top up.

      Hope this helps!

If I have money in my account and the card expires do I lose that money or can I purchase a new card and my money will then be loaded on to the new card…

    • Staff
      Anndy | August 11, 2016

      Hi Jacob,

      Thanks for your question.

The answer to your question depends on how much balance you have in the card.

When your Coles Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard expires with a remaining balance of $10 or less and you do not have an active replacement card, Coles will charge you a Card Closure Fee equal to the amount of your available balance. This will result to having a $0.00 remaining balance on your card and you will no longer be able to get your funds.

If you have more than $10 in your available balance, Coles will transfer that amount to your replacement Card, once you ordered one.

Alternatively, you could also spend or withdraw the available balance before the expiry date.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

    Hi,

How long should it take for the funds to come through as I loaded some money onto the card Saturday and as yet the funds are not there

    • Staff
      Clarizza | July 6, 2016

      Hi Rose,

Thanks for getting in touch. If you reloaded direct online through the Coles Financial Services website, the funds should appear on your balance immediately. However if you transferred funds electronically from another Australian bank account, it may take up to 3 business days to appear on your balance.

      Hope this helps.
