Pick a Pixel or make mates with Huawei in this week's best phone deals.

Every week, finder weeds out the most tantalising deals and discounts in Australia. This week, Google's impressive Pixel finally sees a price drop and the phabulous new Mate 9 sells at an early discount.

We usually cover the Samsung Galaxy S7 in this spot but with no significant price drop and a Samsung Galaxy S8 announcement just around the corner, we opted to cover the Pixel's recent price drop.

Google Pixel sales have suffered in Australia thanks to limited availability (Telstra, JB Hi-Fi and Google Store) and its premium pricing tiers ($1079 and $1229 for the 5-inch and 5.5-inch, respectively). Despite this, we loved its incredibly fast processor, smart camera and helpful Google Assistant when we reviewed the Pixel XL back in October.

Since its release, we've seen little hope for a discount (or even stock, with some retailers) but Kogan has slashed $130 off the usual asking price.

Despite everything we love about the iPhone 7, whether it be its added water resistance, its powerful A10 processor its exceptional dual camera, the one criticism that Apple will never escape is the pricing of its products. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Apple ain't cheap.

That's why it's always nice to find a good discount on Apple's range.

This month, DWI are selling the Rose Gold iPhone 7 32GB for just $939.

The colossal (but relatively unknown) mobile manufacturer Huawei has been absolutely knocking it out of the park lately. We were incredibly impressed with its Leica-infused Huawei P9 and even more so with the recent phablet release, the Huawei Mate 9.

When we reviewed the Huawei Mate 9, we were blown away by the Mate 9's dominant Octa-Core Kirin 960 processor, its excellent dual-lens camera and Huawei's admirable screen replacement program.

DWI is selling the Huawei Mate 9, which usually retails at $999, for $180 cheaper at $819.00.
