For our money, the Oculus Quest 2 is the best standalone VR headset on the market. Featuring no cables and no PC requirements, it's one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to experience virtual reality. You simply don the headset and use the included Touch controllers to transport your gestures, motions and actions into the VR world.

For its second stab at a standalone VR headset, Oculus has increased the number of pixels per eye by 50% (1832x1920) and upped the refresh rate from 72Hz to 90Hz. This results in much smoother and more detailed environments. (You can also hook the unit up to a gaming PC via Quest Link, but this is entirely optional - the unit works fine on its own.) In addition to VR gaming, the unit can also be used to virtually experience live concerts, movies and other exclusive events.

If you're looking for a great VR experience without the hassle of cables and extra hardware, the Oculus Quest 2 is a very worthy purchase - and it's currently selling for just $432.12 on Amazon.

This is the first time we've seen a significant discount on the Oculus Quest 2 so we advise jumping in quickly before the price goes back to normal. There are two options available - the standard 64GB version and the larger-capacity 256GB option. Other than the inbuilt storage, both models are otherwise identical.
