LATAM'scoronavirus (COVID-19) cancellation and changes policy update

As of 16 March 2020, Latam is offering flexible changes to both travel dates and destinations, for any new ticket regardless if your travel dates.

If you've purchased a ticket before 14 March, this is available to you too if your original travel date is before 30 April 2020.

Changes can only be made once and requests must be made by 31 March 2020. If the fare on your new travel dates or destination is higher, you will need to pay the difference.

Pros

  • Fly direct to South America. There are more direct flights between Australia's east coast and South America than ever before.
  • Generous baggage allowance. Economy passengers are allowed to check-in two bags of 23 kilograms each, and one carry-on bag up to eight kilos. Some oversized sporting equipment and music instruments may also be included.
  • Online check-in. You can check-in online via the LATAM website.

  • Not all tickets are refundable. Check your ticket conditions before you book to avoid unwanted fees.

You can make your entire booking online. Click 'Plan and Book'to get started. Search for your dates, and departure and arrival ports. Select your flights from the options, enter your personal details, and make your payment.


How do I know my LATAM airlines flight is confirmed?

After you go through the booking process and make your reservation, you will be directed to a confirmation page. You will immediately be sent a confirmation email with a reservation number that you can use to look up your reservation to add any extras or make changes before you check-in.
