Put the pedal to the (plastic) metal

Despite being marketed primarily at kids, the Skylanders games are surprisingly deep action RPGs that players of any age can enjoy. Because they rely on physical toys, they can often get quite expensive, but if you act fast, you can snap up a Skylanders Superchargers Starter Pack on Xbox One for just $19 delivered from Microsoft's eBay store. These normally retail for around $50, so you'll be getting yourself quite the deal.

It's a good time to be a Telltale fan at Microsoft Store. Most of the developer's episodic series have been discounted on both Xbox One and Xbox 360, from the classic Back to the Future game to the recent Batman series. Honey, I shrunk the Master Chief

Seeing as Halo was originally going to be an RTS for Mac before being rebooted into an Xbox FPS, it made sense that the series would go back to its strategic roots with Halo Wars on the Xbox 360. Admittedly, it made slightly less sense when Halo Wars 2 was announced for Xbox One and PC, given how lukewarm the reception had been to the original game. Still, if you've ever dreamed of leading an army of Scorpion tanks into battle against a fleet of Covenant Wraiths, there's only one game for it, and this week it can be yours for just $29 delivered from British retailer Base.com. Just bear in mind that Base lists its prices with the UK-only Value Added Tax (VAT) included, and it won't be removed until you enter an Australian address at checkout.

Mid-year madness never ends

EB Games continues with its Mid-Year Madness sale this week. You can check out our top picks in last week's cheap game deals, but if you have a Wii U hanging around in your house and you haven't checked out Rayman Legends, it's going for a steal at just $9. As one of the best 2D platformers outside of the Mario games, you won't be disappointed.

Cheap COVFEFE for everyone

'Covfefe' is the word of the week, apparently, and eBay has jumped onboard the meme train with $10 off any purchase above $50 by entering the typo as a coupon code at checkout. For games, the Target eBay store is the best place to make use of the discount, dropping a number of recent releases to historically-low prices. You'll want to choose click and collect if you can, though, as the $9 postage fee effectively ruins the discount. Here are our top picks:

Between the post-apocalyptic rogue-like FPS Wasted, the Wild West whodunnit Westerado: Double Barreled, and the '70s sci-fi puzzle platformer Headlander, there's more than enough variety here to justify the cost of entry.

We loved the game's dense environments and support for multiple playstyles when we reviewed it, and if you're specifically looking for a digital copy of the game, this is a solid deal.
