Wild games and wilder deals head up a bucketload of bargains this week.

Each week, finder searches for the best game deals in Australia. This week, it's time to flex those biceps because we've got golf clubs, electric whips and 16-bit shovels ready for the swinging.

PS4

Golf might not be the most enthralling sport to watch (unless it's Happy Gilmore), but playing golf games is another thing entirely. Ever since Mario Golf on the N64, I've been a sucker for swinging my way through a few grounds on the virtual green, which is why I'm keen to get my hands on the recently released PS4 clubber Everybody's Golf. If you have a similar hunger for a sharp sand wedge, British retailer Base is flogging the game for just $43 delivered this week.

If golf's a little too tame for you, maybe you'd prefer the superhero biffo of Injustice 2, currently on sale for $48 at PlayStation Store? Or perhaps you want to rack up the stylish kills in bombastic shooter Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, down to $30 delivered from Mighty Ape? Whatever your poison, you'll find something to like in this week's PS4 deals below:

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (digital download) Ozgameshop $4.99

Xbox One

Feeling down? Looking for a pick-me-up, maybe one that will raise your power level to over 9000? You're in luck: Microsoft Store has slashed the price of the over-the-top anime fighter Dragon Ball Xenoverse lower than Buu's belly this week, giving you all the kamehamehas you could want for just $20.

Once you've had your fill of Super Saiyan antics, why not take a relaxing vacation on a planet made out of chocolate-covered LEGO bricks? Or maybe you'd rather build yourself a blocky castle atop a lava-spewing volcano? Whichever takes your fancy, LEGO Worlds will provide it, and you can snag yourself a copy of the creative adventure game for just over $35 at Ozgameshop this week. And if that doesn't do it for you, just check out all this week's Xbox One deals below:

Nintendo Switch

I've got to say, I never expected to see Mario shoot a gun in my lifetime. Not in an official Nintendo game, anyway – the wilds of Internet fan fiction are a whole different story. More than that, I'd never have imagined a game with Mario playing triggerman could be any good, and yet Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is much more than that. The absurd mash-up of XCOM and the Mushroom Kingdom is one of this year's surprise hits, and if you're looking to pick it up at a discount, British retailer Base has the best price around at just $61.42 delivered this week. Check it out below:

Title Retailer Discounted price
LEGO Worlds Base $38.88 delivered
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Base $61.42 delivered

PC

Shovels are handy things. You can use them to lean on when you're not fixing the roadworks blocking up the morning traffic, to decapitate zombies hungry for your grey matter, to dig ditches for hiding all your dead bodies – uh oh, I've said too much…

Honestly, though, the tremendous utility of the humble shovel has never been more apparent than in the brilliant retro-inspired platformer Shovel Knight, a game that well deserves your attention at full price. For a measly $4 at EB Games this week, you can dig up a copy of the modern classic and discover just how useful shovels can be.

If spade-swinging doesn't do it for you, there are plenty of other bargains to be had on PC this week. Check them all out below:
