This week’s best game deals: Race in for a rubber-burning bargain

Put the pedal to the metal with these primo discounts on the latest games.

Each week, finder searches for the best game deals in Australia. This week, gearheads on both PS4 and Xbox One can get their fuel-injected fix with discounts on the recently-released Forza Motorsport 7 as well as the imminently-launching Gran Turismo Sport.

PS4

Giant robots take centre stage in this week's PS4 deals, with the brilliant Titanfall 2 going for just $28 delivered at Ozgameshop, while the exosuit antics of The Surge can be yours for less than $20 delivered from British retailer Base. If you prefer machines geared more towards speed than killing, Big W is selling this week's new release GT Sport - which we went hands-on with earlier this year - for a solid $69.

Xbox One

Despite launching just last week, sim racer Forza Motorsport 7 has already dropped down to a sweet $63 delivered at Ozgameshop. With over 700 cars and some of the best visuals we've seen this generation, Forza Motorsport 7 revved our engines when we reviewed it, and at this price, it's a tempting deal for serious race fans.

Only a single lonely deal for Nintendo's hybrid console this week, but it's a good one for fans of Mario's former nemesis turned Olympic teammate Sonic The Hedgehog. The blue bundle of badittude's upcoming speedy adventure Sonic Forces marks the return of the alternating play styles of Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic, and you can lay down a pre-order for the game's 7 November release for less than $47 delivered this week at British retailer Base.

It's a Lord of the Rings bargain feast fit for a hobbit over at Green Man Gaming this week, with the charming LEGO adaptations of the first three movies plus The Hobbit down to a measly $5.10. Meanwhile, over at Humble Bundle, the brilliant Diablo-like action RPG Grim Dawn can be yours for less than $10, and having sunk countless hours into its engaging loot loop myself, I can't recommend it enough.
