Grab your spellbook, don your cloak of perception, and prepare to do battle with these monstrous bargains.

Each week, finder searches for the best game deals in Australia. This week's a little lighter than most, but there's still some solid savings to be had--especially if you're in the mood for a meaty RPG.

A world of assassination

Masseuse. Drummer. Surgeon. Gardener. Agent 47 is a man of many talents both benign and deadly. No matter how innocuous the skills at his disposal, though, he always finds a way to turn them into lethal weapons. Yoga? A gentle push and the downward facing dog becomes the groundward-plummeting dodo. Bartending? 47's a dab hand at mixing cocktails to die for. Confession taking? Well, penance is 47's specialty, after all.

If you haven't had a chance to indulge in 47's latest escapades yet, you can remedy that by grabbing the complete first season of HITMAN on PS4 or Xbox One for less than $39 delivered at Ozgameshop this week. For the chance to dress up as a vampire and stalk a Parisian fashion show alone, it's more than worth it.

Title Platforms Discounted Price
HITMAN: The Complete First Season PS4/Xbox One $38.98 delivered
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Season Pass Edition PS4/Xbox One $46.98 delivered
Persona 5 PS4 $67.99 delivered

Demons on the basketball court

Magic Johnson and magic missiles seems like a match made in heaven, and yet there's been a distinct lack of fantasy-based basketball RPGs over the years. Seems like a missed opportunity to me. Oh well, at least we have July's Humble Monthly bundle to satisfy both our sword-swinging and slam-dunking needs. For $15.79, you get both NBA 2K17 and Pillars of Eternity right now, plus a whole bunch of mystery games will be yours at the end of the month, too. It might not be the Shaq Attack game I've been holding out for, but it's still a damn good deal. Score yourself a ballin' bundle at Humble

From Russia with love

Battlefield 1 is calling in the Russians this September with its In the Name of the Tsar DLC. Frost-bitten maps, heavily-armoured vehicles, and a brand new game mode are sure to test even the toughest of players' skills, so you'll want to get training now if you plan on braving the Eastern Front later this year. Fortunately, our friends across the pond at Base.com have vanilla Battlefield 1 on sale this week for less than $37 delivered on PS4 and Xbox One. Grab it now, and maybe you'll one-up me by figuring out how to not crash the biplane every single time you spawn into it.

Battlefield 1 PS4/Xbox One $36.68 delivered
Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 PS4 $33.36 delivered

Speared by a steel tongue

Apparently EB Games has decided to throw its hat into the weekly deals business, and so far the savings have been a lot better than the retailer's usual hyperbolic sales. This week, for example, the spiritual successor to the acclaimed Planescape: Torment RPG, Torment: Tides of Numenera, is down to $25 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Like most classic-style RPGs, the game is jam-packed with content, and it places a premium on talking your way through encounters instead of just lopping off the heads of everyone who crosses your path. Refreshing, that.

Title Platforms Price (in-store) Price (delivered)
Torment: Tides of Numenera PS4/Xbox One/PC $25.00 $28.50
Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind PS4/Xbox One/PC $36.00 $39.50

Vita means life

Vita owners rejoice! Sony has thrown the neglected handheld system a juicy bone this week with PlayStation Store's Big in Japan sale. While there's no shortage of PS4 games on sale, the Vita gets some much-needed love with discounts on Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and Dragon Quest Builders, just to name a few. If you're a fellow Vita owner who refuses to abandon the plucky little system, there's a whole lot here to like.

Mega Man Legacy Collection PS4 $7.55
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 PS4 $7.55
