This week’s cheap game deals: Zelda’s bargain Ocarina
Rainbow Six Siege scores decent discount and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is selling at a low cost.
Here are the week’s best PlayStation 4 deals in Australia.
The latest iteration in the FIFA franchise follows the same formula of the previous entries. Make slight changes that improve the game, make Ronaldo look even more handsome, and add a new mechanic that they will subsequently remove in the next game. Even if you don’t like football, I would still recommend giving FIFA a try.
Amazon is currently selling FIFA 17 for $65.90, which is a saving of $34.05.
If you are an (extremely) late adopter of the latest gaming consoles, your patience may have finally paid off.
Sony tends to always have some pretty sweet deals for its PlayStation 4 bundles, but the latest bundle takes the cake. It includes a 500GB PlayStation 4 Slim and Doom which is regarded as one of the best games of this generation. You will have some sexy new hardware to help you blow away demon hordes on a far-away planet.
EB Games is currently selling this bundle for $349.
Here are the week’s best Xbox One deals in Australia.
Rainbow Six: Siege
In my humble opinion, Rainbow Six: Siege is one of the best games of this generation.
The cops and robbers premise is so simple yet so addictive. Throw in some hostages, high-powered weaponry, destructible environments and some sweet little remote-controlled cars, and you have a recipe for success.
Amazon is currently selling Rainbow Six: Siege for $39.55, which is a saving of $13.15.
Guitar Hero Live
Remember Guitar Hero? It was a game that allowed you to be a rock star in your own living room. Everyone in the late 2000s had at least one of the six million Guitar Hero games in their house. They were pretty fun.
Then Activision just stopped making them. Possibly because the market was over-saturated, possibly the doing of the Illuminati, who knows? What I do know is that Activision resurrected this dead horse with the latest entry, Guitar Hero Live. With a massive list of new songs, a new guitar and loads of FMVs, Guitar Hero Live is perfect for those longing for the rhythm games of yesteryear.
Here are the week’s best PC deals in Australia.
Remember when vampires were cool? They never used to sparkle or constantly be concerned with love. They used to be unstoppable killing machines with an insatiable thirst for blood. Those were the days.
If you would like to experience how vampires used to be, then Bloodrayne will be perfect for you. You play as a vampire who was raised and trained by a secret government agency. What were you trained the kill, you ask? Nazis of course.
GOG is currently selling Bloodrayne for $1.29, which is a saving of $6.60.
Here are the week’s best Nintendo deals in Australia.
Super Mario 3D World
Mario is probably the most iconic video game character that has ever existed. The Italian plumber with a large moustache captured the hearts of gamers all over the world.
Similar to FIFA, Super Mario 3D World continues the trend of making slight changes that improve the game, make Mario look even more handsome, and add a new mechanic that they will subsequently remove in the next game. The Mario games are so polished that, even if you do not like the changes, the core game is still incredibly fun.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Speaking of iconic game characters and franchises, The Legend of Zelda's speechless hero is one of the most iconic of them all.
Considered as one of the greatest video games of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the first 3D Zelda title on and Nintendo console. It is so loved by the wider gaming community that Nintendo released an updated version for the 3DS, which is probably the best way to play it. If you didn't have the chance to play this iconic title when you were a child, then I recommend picking it up for your 3DS.
