Cheap Flights of the Week: The UK, Australia and the Philippines

Posted: 23 June 2017 1:27 pm

A weekly round-up of the best flight deals across the net.

Searching for even more great deals? There's a handful of end of financial year travel deals to snatch up before 30 June, too.

$799: Fly return to London

Fly Scoot and Norwegian Airlines when you book via Flight Centre.

Fly from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or the Gold Coast to London from $799 return. All flights include a stopover in Singapore where you'll change carriers. All fares are return.

Checked baggage, meals and entertainment are not included.

Dates: 1 October - 22 November 2017

We love these flights because:

  • They're a bargain. It's extremely rare to find flights to London for this cheap.
  • Whether you're flying from Sydney or the Gold Coast, the base price is still $799 return.
  • These flights are an ingenious combination of two budget carriers, so while they aren't all-inclusive, they do make the most of the low-cost airline economy.

We love these flights because:

  • These are Australia-wide flights meaning there's a little something for everybody.
  • Flights are during winter and include warmer coastal destinations, so you can escape the winter for a bit for cheap.

$554: Fly return to Manila

Fly Royal Brunei when you book via STA Travel.

Part of the Royal Brunei worldwide flight sale, international fares on this esteemed carrier start from $554. Sample fares include Melbourne to Manila from $554, Melbourne to Hong Kong from $559, Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh from $556 and Melbourne to Shanghai from $583. All fares are return. Melbourne is the only Australian departure city for Royal Brunei.

Checked baggage, meals and entertainment are included.

Dates: June - September 2017

We love these flights because:

  • Sale flights depart from Australia and cover the whole of Royal Brunei's network.
  • Unlike some STA Travel sales, you don't have to be a youth or a teacher to be eligible for these fares. They are open to all.
  • The sale includes flights to London from $899, which is $100 more than the Australia to London flights mentioned above, with the added benefits of being a direct and all-inclusive flight.
