$39: Domestic flights on Tigerair

Starting at $39, Tigerair Australia has mid-week flights on sale across dozens of its domestic routes. Travel is for departures on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from October to December. Sample fares include Adelaide-Melbourne for $39, Gold Coast-Sydney for $39, Brisbane-Sydney for $45 and Melbourne-Sydney for $49.
Dates: October-December 2017.

- They're during spring, which is when much of Australia starts to heat up from the winter.
- At $39 each way, they're some of the cheapest fares Tigerair offers.
- Skimming just outside the school holidays, you'll enjoy less crowds while on vacation.
$992: Round-trip flights to Vienna
Fly Thai Airways when you book via Skyscanner.
Thai Airways launches direct flights from Bangkok to Vienna in November. To celebrate, it has sale flights along this route with Australian connections as well. Flights start at $992 from Perth. Other standout fares are Melbourne to Vienna from $1,067, Brisbane to Vienna from $1,078 and Sydney to Vienna from $1,085. All are return fares.
Checked baggage, meals and entertainment are included.

AirAsia has a mates-rates sale to its base city of Kuala Lumpur for as little as $250 return per person so long as you travel in pairs. Sample fares include Perth-Kuala Lumpur for $250, Sydney-Gold Coast from $299 and Gold Coast or Melbourne from $399. All are return fares.
