You know how they say diamonds are a girl's best friend? Well for me, it's more like highlighter.
In my opinion, a makeup routine is not complete without it. It doesn't matter if you prefer a blending highlight, or something more natural, the skin just looks better with that extra glow.
When I was given the opportunity to try Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Light Wand (specifically in the iconic Pillow Talk shade), there was no way I could say no. And now, it's my new favourite highlighter.

The Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand is not a new product. However, the new Pillow Talk versions are.
"Pillow Talk" is synonymous with Charlotte Tilbury. The nude-pink hue is the brand's signature shade.
According to Charlotte Tilbury, one Pillow Talk lipstick is sold every two minutes. So naturally, the luxurious beauty brand decided to use the colour in almost every kind of product you can think of. We're talking blush, eyeshadow, lipstick, eyeliner and so much more.
It's formulated with lustrous polymers and a fast drying film former. This combination promises to give the skin a super glossy finish without looking greasy.
There's also a bunch of other ingredients like sensorial oil, velvety silica and lindera extract. These work together to ensure the finish is light and silky smooth while keeping you hydrated.
You can now shop the Beauty Light Wand in two new shades: Pillow Talk (nude pink) and Pillow Talk Medium (nude-pink peach). Because of my lighter skin tone, I tried the ordinary Pillow Talk shade.
Take a look at the images below. On the left, I've got nothing on my skin, except for my usual skincare routine. The image on the right is my skin with no makeup on, except for the Beauty Light Wand.
As you can see, I am seriously glowing.
For me, the stand-out feature of the Beauty Light Wand is the texture.
Although the colour is quite dark when compared to my skin tone, it blends seamlessly into the skin, especially bare skin. The highlighter looks and feels super light on the skin and I absolutely love the glossy finish.
I've only been using it for a little over two weeks and I've worn it every day since. I cannot leave the house without it!
Now I know what you're thinking... how does it look with a full face of makeup?
While I don't have an image to prove it, I can tell you that it works just as well over a full face of cream and/or powder products.
I am also obsessed with the applicator. The sponge on the end is soft and allows you to pinpoint exactly where you want the highlight to go. I just blend it out with my fingers afterwards and it works like a dream.
Affordability
The Beauty Light Wand retails at $60 for 12mL of product. If you're familiar with Charlotte Tilbury, you'll know that the beauty brand is luxurious and the products don't come cheap. Would I buy it again? 100% yes, it's a staple in my beauty routine.
