Chainsaw carver sculpts 8-foot DOOM Revenant sculpture

DOOM1

Bethesda has teamed up with champion chainsaw carver Rob Bast to bring the hideous Revenant to life.

In the lead up to DOOM's release, Bethesda has partnered with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and commissioned chainsaw carving champion (what a title!) Rob Bast to bring one of gaming's most iconic enemies to life.

The grotesquely detailed Revenant statue was carved from recycled cypress wood and took a staggering 150 hours to create.

This fitting method pays tribute to the DOOM marine's trusty chainsaw, which has been aiding players in close-quarters demon slaying since 1993.
