CertiK is a public blockchain that has been designed for the trustworthy execution of mission-critical applications and smart contracts. These applications or smart contracts may operate within a variety of domains including decentralised finance (DeFi), NFTs and autonomous vehicular management systems. According to the whitepaper, the background CertiK Chain architecture aims to be cross-chain compatible and has, therefore, been built using a Cosmos Hub. It is fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) as well as the Hyperledger Burrow. To protect applications and smart contracts CertiK implements a feature called the Security Oracle which should spot vulnerabilities in a project’s code before they cause issues. Any blockchain or crypto project can be audited by CertiK and receive a recognised CertikShield membership. All assets covered by the CertiKShield should be reimbursed if lost or stolen. CTK is the native crypto of the CertiK ecosystem and is used to facilitate a variety of transactions across the platform. It is also used to encourage staking, offer rewards for those that participate in the Security Oracle, reimburse any losses sustained by CertiKShield and allow all token holders to vote on community proposals.
