Cathay Pacific celebrates Mother’s Day with return flights to Asia from $587

They say experiences make the best gifts and Cathay Pacific is making life very easy for those of us who want to turn a present into an excuse for a holiday.
If you’re still racking your brains for a great Mother’s Day present then take a look at these flights to Asia starting at $587 return.
The cheapest fares depart from Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide and take you to Shanghai.
Other destinations on offer include: Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Some of the standout fares are from Sydney to Beijing for $602, Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh for $709, Perth to Seoul for $772 and Brisbane to Manila for $807.
Fares are for return companion fares based on a minimum of two passengers booked and travelling together. Discounted solo traveller fares are also available as part of the sale.
The good news is that travel is available from 14 May to 31 March 2019 however, peak dates in June, July, December and January are excluded. You can offset a quick last-minute getaway for a really big surprise or give her something to look forward to with something later in the year.

How good are these fares?
There have been a lot of Asian flight sales running lately, and while these prices do come close, unfortunately, they're not the cheapest Cathay Pacific prices. That being said you’re just paying on average an extra $15 per route so you’re still getting a pretty good deal.
