Catch flights around Asia from $225 return

Posted: 14 May 2018 2:15 pm

Take your choice of exotic escape in Asia, including the Maldives, Thailand, India and Bali, by flying AirAsia.

Over-water bungalows are no longer just part of your daily Instagram stalking. With AirAsia flights to the Maldives and other hot Asian destinations on sale, now is your chance to fill your feed with snaps of an island escape.

The cheapest fares in the sale are for travel from Perth to Kuala Lumpur for $225 return. You can also find discounted seats to Kuala Lumpur from Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast from $300 return.

Other standout fares are for Perth to Bali from $291, Perth to the Maldives from $396, the Gold Coast to Phuket from $417, Sydney to Bangkok from $433 and Melbourne to Bali from $434.

Travel is from 3 October to 30 November and from 1 February 2019 to 31 March 2019.

This sale ends 19 May 2018 unless seats sell out prior. Book them now through Flight Centre.

How good are these fares?

These are not the cheapest fares you’ll find, even for AirAsia. Flights to the Maldives usually dip under $400 when on sale and Bangkok has been on sale for $310 return from Perth.

Price aside, the best thing about these flights are the travel dates on offer and that they’re not last minute, which is usually how you can score the cheapest AirAsia flights.

One of the best times to visit the Maldives is in November, and if you’re quick, you’ll avoid the peak season meaning cheaper over-water bungalows on offer.

These travel dates also run over some of the best times to visit Bali, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket and Tokyo. Make sure to check out our destination guides to help you choose the ideal dates for your holiday.
