Carshare service GoGet launches at Sydney Airport

Drive away within minutes of landing in Sydney thanks to GoGet.
GoGet, the car sharing service that lets you access thousands of cars around Australia, has landed at Sydney Airport enabling members to hop off the plane, pick up their luggage and drive away seamlessly.
Already available at Melbourne and Adelaide Airports, Sydney is the third Australian airport to facilitate the service.
The way GoGet works is that you sign up to become a member, paying a monthly or annual fee, depending which package you opt into, as well as a one-off joining fee and pre-authorisation fee. Vehicles can be hired for as little as an hour and can cost from $6.35 per hour, depending on the package chosen.
Once signed up, you can book your car by nominating a hire date and car type. When you're ready to drive, go to the car, tap on with your smart card to unlock it and the keys will be waiting for you in the seat.
Then, it's simply a matter of driving away. For flyers, it means no worrying about airport parking and no waiting at the counter for traditional car hire.
"This is Australia's busiest airport and now with carshare, a few minutes after disembarking your plane, you're swiping into your GoGet car and getting on the road — it's literally runway to highway," says Justin Passaportis of GoGet.
The car pod at Sydney Airport is equipped with six types of cars; a Mercedes, BMW, Sportage, RAV, Yaris and Corolla giving you the choice to choose from small and practical to larger and more lavish. The pod is located in the P3 parking lot, close to the domestic terminals, making it most convenient for domestic travellers who can walk to their car directly from the terminal.
If you're flying in from overseas, you'll need to catch a train or a courtesy T-Bus shuttle service to the domestic and then walk to the P3 parking lot.
As part of its launch, GoGet is offering a special of $19 off per day for a limited time only.
GoGet is currently available in five Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.
