The Australian automobile importer and former manufacturer is most famous for its Commodore model, which was introduced in 1978 and forms one-half of a longstanding rivalry with the Ford Falcon. Holden has won the Bathurst 1000 32 times, more than any other car manufacturer, and has been a subsidiary of General Motors since 1931.
