Where to buy in store

If you prefer to shop in store, Australian retailers like JB Hi-Fi, EB Games and Target should be selling the game from today. There's quite a bit of variety in the asking price, however. For example, JB Hi-Fi has the game for $79, while EB Games is selling it for $99. It therefore pays to do some research and attempt to get a price match from your preferred retailer.

About Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite Game

Halo Infinite is the latest and arguably greatest instalment in the long-running Halo series. Like its forebears, it's a futuristic first-person shooter with an emphasis on multiplayer bedlam.

Here's the official spiel about the game from Microsoft:

"When all hope is lost and humanity's fate hangs in the balance, the Master Chief is ready to confront the most ruthless foe he's ever faced. The legendary Halo series returns with the most expansive Master Chief campaign yet and a groundbreaking free-to-play multiplayer experience.

Halo Infinite provides an amazing experience across the Xbox One and newer family of consoles with stunning 4K graphics and world-class cross-platform play. And, on Xbox Series X, enjoy enhanced features like up to 120 FPS and greatly reduced load times creating seamless gameplay that usher in the next generation of gaming."

The game is developed by 343 Industries and SkyBox Labs. (Original Halo developers Bungie left Microsoft in 2007.) It will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
