When and where you can buy the Gucci x Comme des Garçons shopper bag

Mia Steiber 30 November 2018 NEWS

A collector's item for sure, find out when you'll be able to get your hands on the shopper bag by Gucci and Comme des Garçons.

This might just be the most unexpected designer collaboration in history. Gucci has partnered with up with Comme des Garçons to create an unusual version of the signature CDG shopper bag

Gucci's "more is more" aesthetic doesn't seem like the obvious choice to pair with the experimental yet minimal stylings of Comme des Garçons. And yet, this piece somehow works.

Comme des Garçons' shopper bag is deliberately undone and industrial. Designed to appear as though it's made from brown packing-paper, this bag is a perfect representation of the unexpected approach the fashion world has come to love from Comme des Garçons. Without disrupting the industrial design of the bag, Gucci has added its own signature to this piece. Gucci's flair comes courtesy of incorporating the classic Gucci green-and-red stripes down the middle of the shopper, no more, no less.

Given the popularity of both brands and the true uniqueness of this pairing, you can guarantee this bag will be a sell-out collector's item.

So, when and where can we buy this piece?

Word on the street suggests that the bag will become internationally available on 6 December, which could actually be 7 December for shoppers in Australia and New Zealand. It's expected this will appear at key Comme des Garçons and Gucci stockists and probably Gucci's own site. So keep your eyes firmly on Gucci and stores like Farfetch and SSENSE when the day comes.
