5 affordable black suction face masks that promise to clear your skin
We've found some of the most popular brands of black face masks and where you can buy them.
One of the biggest beauty crazes going around right now has to be black suction face masks. In fact, it’s hard to scroll through Facebook or YouTube without seeing a review, tutorial or ad for one of these “amazing, skin-clearing” masks.
Black suction face masks promise to clear your skin and minimise pores by removing blackheads from your skin. The black liquid mask is applied thickly to the skin on your face and after about 20 or 30 minutes it dries into a tightened, hard sheet, which can then be peeled off. When wet, the mask is supposed to seep into your blocked pores and dry around blackheads, which are then pulled out when the mask is peeled off your face. Just make sure not to apply it over your eyebrows as these masks are strong enough to rip out hair too. Ouch.
These masks make a lot of big promises that seem a bit too good to be true. But, then again, there are enough video reviews on YouTube for us to see that even the cheapest varieties seem to be reasonably effective.
For any Aussie beauty buffs out there looking to buy one of these black face masks, we’ve put together a handy list of the most popular and effective brands and where to buy them. Scroll through to see where you can buy your favourite black face mask in Australia.
