What to expect from Amazon’s Boxing Day 2020 sale
What kind of online deals can you expect to see from Amazon this Boxing Day? These are the bargains you need to know about.
If you're planning to pick up an online bargain this Boxing Day, Amazon Australia is a great one-stop shop. The retail colossus will be offering discounts of up to 80% across multiple popular product categories. In all, there will be thousands of deals available on the big day with some appearing early.
Based on Amazon's previous Boxing Day sales, here are a few deals that you can expect to see on 26 December.

40% off Robot vacuum cleaners
One product you'll be sure to see on Amazon this Boxing Day, is robot vacuums. The big manufacturers in this space will be using Boxing Day as a good excuse to clear out old stock, with plenty of critically acclaimed models up for grabs, You can expect to score as much as 40% off select robot vacuum cleaners from Samsung, Roborock, Dyson, iRobot, Ecovacs and more. 60% off Fashion
Sites like ASOS, White Fox fashion, THE ICONIC, Charles Tyrwhitt, New Balance, Beginning Boutique, Nasty Gal, General Pants, David Jones and GHD Hair will be offering big discounts site wide this Boxing Day. While not particularly well known as a fashion site, Amazon will also be offering some tasty deals on December 26. You can expect to score up to 60% off select clothes, footwear, watches and fashion accessories from a range of popular labels. Last year's sale included 50% off select Calvin Klein clothing and up to 40% off Adidas and Puma shoes.

Amazon never passes up an opportunity to sell its own first party gadgets, and Boxing Day 2020 will be no exception. You can expect to save up to 30% on select Echo smart speakers, Fire TV Sticks and Kindle devices. Last year's deals included Echo smart speakers for $99, Echo Show for $249 and 40% off Kindle select covers. If you don't mind older, pre-2020 models, you might be able to snap up an even bigger discount. For example, you can currently get the Echo Show 5 for $49 - down from $129. That's 62% off the RRP!

Amazon has had some great Nintendo Switch deals in recent months thanks to Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday. You can currently get the Neon version for $399 - which is more than $70 off the RRP. We're expecting to see a few bundles on Boxing Day, but if you just want the console, now is as good a time to buy as any.
80% off select Alcohol

When Amazon first launched in Australia, it mainly sold non-consumables. Since then, the store has partnered with hundreds of retailer in the food and liquor space. You can therefore expect to see some big discounts on select wine, beer and spirits during Boxing Day. Mixed cases of wine are where the biggest bargains are likely to be found, with up to 80% off unit prices.
50% off best-selling books

Amazon started life as an online book store, so it's no surprise that we'll see plenty of bargains within this category. Whether you prefer books in paper or digital form, there should be some big discounts available on Boxing Day. Last year's sale saw popular titles selling for 55% off the RRP. Amazon has kicked things off early with up to 50% off physical bestsellers.
Cheap Kitchen appliances

If you need to upgrade your kitchen gear for the new year, Boxing Day is a great time to snap up a bargain or three. Amazon will be selling a large range of discounted kitchen appliances on December 26, including coffee machines, air fryers, slow cookers and more. Right now, it's selling the hugely popular Instant Pot for 47% off the RRP - down from $299 to $157.90. You can expect to see stacks more bargains come Boxing Day.
