Bose 700 headphones

The latest innovation from Bose is almost here.

Electronics company Bose has cemented itself as a leader in audio technology, witnessing a huge amount of success from its headphone models in particular. At the top of the range, the QuietComfort 35 II's have long been touted as some of the best noise-cancelling headphones you can buy. That is, until now.

Bose has today announced its latest headphone debut and it's set to give the QC35s a serious run for their money. Titled Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, the newest addition to the line will be available to shop from the online store from 15 August, with the option to pre-order arriving on the site later today.

Based on the performance of the QuietComforts, the 700s are set to be a step up from the already impressive noise-cancelling technology. In a press release, Bose has said that the new design represents, "a new era of headphones" that will "transform the most demanding environments into private sanctuaries for listening".

Using new innovative technology, an 8 microphone system will help to dramatically suppress surrounding sounds and isolate a user's voice from 360 degrees of unwanted sound, allowing for a better listening experience, clearer calls and greater accuracy from VPAs. The headphones will also feature 20 hours of battery-life, a Conversation Mode and compatibility with Siri, the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The 700s are the first of 3 new headphone models that Bose is planning to drop over the next year or so. Following the launch of the 700s next week, a pair of compact, wireless Bose Earbuds 500 will become available later in the year. Wireless Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 will then follow in 2020.

Category director for Bose, Brian Maguire, has said in a release, "Pairing our phones and headphones have given us more freedom for calls and let us use our personal assistants to get things done. But, there are still barriers, and we've all experienced them...but, the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 changes that and we can't wait for people to experience the difference it makes."

The Bose Noise Cancelling 700 headphones will retail for $599.95 and will be available in both black and silver designs.
