Boost offers bonus Bluetooth speaker with phone purchases

Buy a cheap prepaid handset, get a cheap Bluetooth speaker to play music with it.

Boost Mobile’s latest handset deal offers a Bluetooth speaker bundled with selected prepaid handsets. There’s no specification on Boost’s Web site to detail the make or model of the speaker itself, although a post on OzBargain suggests that it is a fairly generic Chinese model rather than a particular branded speaker set.

The deal applies online only until 31 March 2016, and applies to purchases of the $99 Boost View 5 or Alcatel OneTouch Quatro 4G, both of which are Alcatel OneTouch handsets, or the $49 Boost Indy handset, which is a ZTE phone. At those prices you can’t expect exceptional performance, but the inclusion of a free speaker does add to their appeal. Here is how they compare against each other:
