Frequently asked questions about Black Friday tour deals

Which tour companies usually offer Black Friday deals?

Which destinations can I get cheap Black Friday tours to?

In the past, these are the destinations we have seen tours available to and we predict there will be discounts for them during the Black Friday sales. Just about everywhere in the world is likely to be on sale.

  • Europe
  • United States
  • South Pacific
  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • Costa Rica
  • Turkey

When do Black Friday and Cyber Monday tour deals start?

The Black Friday extravaganza officially starts on 24 November 2023. That said, many tour and experience companies have already started their deals.

This includes Trafalgar with 10% off worldwide tours, G Adventures with up to 30% off tours and Luxury Escapes with up to 70% off getaways.

How do I get the best Black Friday tour deals?

  • Get in early: Tours have limited placements and if you're travelling during peak season spots can sell out quickly. If you see something you like book early to avoid disappointment.
  • Search booking platforms: Sites like TourRadar and Bookmundi sell tours from big-name brands such as Contiki and Intrepid. You may be able to find extra discounts through them.
  • Be flexible: Peak season travel is usually the first to go. If you have a destination in mind and want to save money, travel in the shoulder season. You might even catch a cheaper seat this way.
  • Sign up to newsletters. In 2022 Contiki offered a presale to its members. To avoid missing out, sign up to be first in line in upcoming sales.

How do Black Friday tour deals compare with Boxing Day tour deals?

With discounts of up to 70% off, this year's Black Friday sale is something special.

Outside of that many tour companies, for example Contiki, Intrepid and G Adventures are offering 25-30% off.

This is on-par with the 2022 Boxing Day sale which had up to 30% off Contiki Europe tours and up to 25% off G Adventures adventures worldwide.

Which tour companies let you book now and pay later?

  • Contiki: Pay a deposit and the balance is payable 45 days before departure. PayPal Pay in 4 and Zip are accepted forms of payment.
  • G Adventures Book with confidence and cancel or reschedule your tour up to 45 days prior to departure.
  • Luxury Escapes: Buy now and pay later with Klarna or Afterpay.
  • Trafalgar: Book now and pay later with Zip.
  • Intrepid: You can secure your booking with a non-refundable deposit. The balance of the tour fee is due 56 days before departure.
  • TourRadar: PayPal Pay in 4 is accepted.
  • Adventure Tours Australia: A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person per trip is required. The balance is payable 30 days prior to departure.
  • My Cruises: Low-deposit bookings are available.

Which tour companies have flexible booking policies?

  • Contiki: Free flexibility promise on trips of 7 days or longer once a deposit is paid.
  • G Adventures: Re-book up to 14 days before your departure date.
  • Groupon: Some tour operators allow free date changes.
  • Luxury Escapes: Select tours have a 7-day refund guarantee, no questions asked.
  • Trafalgar: Free changes up to 60 days from departure.
  • Intrepid: Date changes and cancellation refunds differ with each tour.
  • TourRadar: Some tour operators have free cancellations and/or date changes.
  • Adventure Tours Australia: Date changes and cancellations may be made within certain time frames. If you cancel 28 days or more from departure your deposit can be used as credit. Bookings can be transferred at least 28 days before departure. A fee of $200 per person applies.
  • Big Bus Tours: Dates and bookings can be changed for hop-on, hop-off tours but not for attractions.
