Stores we’re expecting to have red-hot Black Friday sales 2018

Alexandra Hourigan 19 November 2018 NEWS

Our favourite shopping event of the year is fast approaching, and here are our retailer predictions.

Black Friday is the shopping event where you can expect to see some of the most competitive sales of the year. This shopping extravaganza takes place annually the day after Thanksgiving.

Finder is here to help you on the craziest shopping day of the year, so you can actually enjoy your experience this Black Friday. How, you ask? There are a few key retailers that we're expecting to go BIG with their Black Friday sales this year. So we've put together a list to give you an idea so you can start planning. Here are our top five predictions for stores that will have a huge sale this year.

With Christmas also fast approaching, it's the perfect opportunity to knock all that shopping out of the way. It's also our strong recommendation to do so as you'll save a lump of cash rather than paying full price closer to Christmas.

Plus, if you want to see more, check out our full list of Black Friday predictions or just head straight to the Black Friday deals page to see every Black Friday deal when it goes live.

1. Cotton On

Last year's deal: 40% off site-wide.

Cotton On is one of our favourite retailers. With Cotton On, Typo, Rubi all under one roof, shoppers can look at fashion, shoes, accessories, homewares and stationary all in one affordable place. Cotton On is already affordable, but at 40% off site-wide, this sale absolutely killed it last year. If Cotton On offers this or something stronger, we can definitely say we will be getting in on the shopping fun ourselves.

2. Sephora

Last year's deal: 15% off site-wide

In the big scheme of things, 15% off site-wide isn't a huge sale. However, for a big beauty brand like Sephora, it's game-changing. Sephora hardly ever does sales except for the annual Beauty pass sale that happens once a year, and that's only for Black and Gold members. We think there is a good chance for Sephora to offer the same deal, and if so, it will be a good opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done, restock some old favourites or splurge on something new.

3. Princess Polly

Last year's deal: 25% off site-wide

Princess Polly is the ultimate destination for cool girl fashion. There is a wide range of fashion, accessories and shoes to choose from and it's unlike anything you'll see anywhere else. Plus, the brand sits on the affordable end of the food chain. The 25% off is the highest discount we've seen from Princess Polly in the last year at least. Last year's Black Friday sale was intense, and if it is as strong this year, then we're confident there will be a number of sellouts across the site.

4. THE ICONIC

Last year's deal: 30% off thousands of brands + items

THE ICONIC is one of our favourite shopping destinations purely for the wide range of brands on offer. From Camilla to Billini, THE HORSE and more, you can find everything and anything here. The 30% off Black Friday sale in 2017 included a huge number of big brands which led to significant savings. If we were to see a sale of similar value, then it would be difficult to find the same products for cheaper.

5. Sheridan

Last year's deal: 40% off everything

Spring and summer is the perfect time for a little redecorating. Whether you're after some lighter sheets or just want to liven up the place, Black Friday at Sheridan was the opportunity with 40% off absolutely everything. Sheridan normally offers "Up to 40%" in other sales so this was definitely one that had a lot of people clicking "add to cart". It will come as no surprise to see Sheridan participate in Black Friday again this year, and we're crossing our fingers for a sale just as good, if not better, than this.
