Black Friday 2017: The best Nintendo Switch deals in Australia

Brodie Fogg 23 November 2017 NEWS

This year's Nintendo Switch deals, a joy or a con?

Even though the Nintendo Switch has sold admirably, there's still a huge portion of folks who have been holding out until a) more games are available and b) a sweet, sweet deal. Well, one of those roadblocks has been lifted (Breath of The Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey just to name a few ) but the price, so far, as barely budged an inch.

The Nintendo Switch has been out in the wild less than a year so it's a bit of a stretch to expect any drastic price cuts and with the markup on consoles so low, don't expect retailers to cut you an awesome deal anytime soon. With that said, there is hope in software and Nintendo Switch bundles.

There are only a few announced at the moment (expect more tomorrow) but we've rounded up the sweetest Switch deals on consoles and games so far.

  • 1-2 Switch: $59 (usually $69)
  • Joy-Con Pair Neon Red/Blue, Grey or Neon Yellow: $94 (usually $119)
  • Joy-Con Charging Grip: $34 (usually $39)
  • ARMS: $67 (usually $79)
  • Nintendo Switch + Super Mario Odyssey: $529 (usually $549)
  • Splatoon 2: $69 (usually $79)
  • Pokkén Tournament DX: $79 (usually $99)

There are some decent savings in there. While knocking $10 off a title isn't going to get anyone too excited, $25 off a pricey pair of Joy-Cons is a bit of a steal and the Super Mario Odyssey bundle offers a fair discount off the recommended retail price.

Big W

  • Rayman Legends: $39

This deal's a bit of a stinker if I'm totally honest. The game is only $39.99 on Nintendo eShop and only $49.99 normally at Big W.

EB Games

  • Nintendo Switch + 3 amiibo with your choice of R.O.B., Dark Pit, Lucas, King Dedede, Duck Hunt or Falco $449
  • Nintendo Switch + Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle $489
  • Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle: $69 (usually $89.95)*

EB Games have got two very strong console deals here. The first essentially shaves a little off the normal asking price while throwing in a few amiibo, while the second is only $20 more than the usual price except you get the phenomenal Mario + Rabbids thrown in for good measure.
