How do Expedia's Black Friday 2019 deals compare to other sales?

This year Expedia will be featuring up to 75% off hotels, packages (hotel + flight).

There are also plenty of other options including offers on Disney World and Disneyland for 2018.

How to get the best Expedia Black Friday deal

Here are some tips we have based on past experience with Expedia sales

  • Be flexible with your dates: If you're booking a holiday package or flight, you're more likely to get the best price if you're flying on unfavourable days - like midweek or Saturday afternoons. If you're booking a hotel stay, city stays are likely to be cheaper over weekends (when business travellers aren't staying) and resort areas, like ski fields and beaches, are more likely to offer better dates mid-week (when fewer leisure travellers are booking stays).
  • Avoid big chains: Usually in sales on hotel bookings sites like Expedia or Hotels.com, the major hotel brands (like Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton) are excluded from the sales. Look at independent and boutique hotels for the biggest savings - and you may just stumble across a new favourite place to stay.
