How do this year's Black Friday car hire deals compare to previous years?
So far the deals aren't quite as good as last year. Most are up to 25% off whereas in 2022 the discounts were 30–50% off.
For example, in 2022 East Coast Car Rentals took 30% off car rentals in Australia and JUCY had as much as half off Cairns campervan hires and up to 30% off in other Australian cities.
How do I find a good Black Friday car hire deal?
While we'll compile all the deals we can find in this guide, here are a few things you can do to ensure you get the best offer:
Be flexible with your dates. Better deals are usually available when there's less demand. If you haven't booked your trip yet, consider going during the off-season or shoulder season.
Check different companies. If you're loyal to a company, consider changing it up and you may just get a better deal. We like using aggregator sites such as KAYAK or Rentalcars.com. These let you see prices from multiple companies with a single search.
Subscribe to newsletters from your preferred companies. They often send deals via email both during sales events like Black Friday and throughout the year.
