What is eBay Plus?

eBay Plus is a subscription service and for an annual fee of just $49, you get:

  • Free delivery. If you spend over $49, you get free delivery, and this just so happens to cover over 15 million products. Items that are included will feature an eBay Plus logo, and you can even filter your searches to only include eBay Plus products.
  • Free returns. All eBay Plus purchases get free returns.
  • Exclusive deals. One of the best perks is gaining access to jaw-dropping deals and discounts. Some examples of offers include up to 60% off on popular items and early access to new products. See more eBay deals here.
  • Premium customer service. Members get access to a dedicated customer support team.

Still not convinced? You could always just sign up for a free 30-day trial, with Black Friday being the perfect excuse to see just how good a membership can be.

In a press release, eBay Australia's Sophie Onikul said: "eBay Plus members can start shopping the sales early with exclusive access to daily deals and 20% off top brands which are rarely discounted, like Apple."

Earlier this year, eBay partnered with Afterpay, just in time for the Black Friday sales.

Sophie added: "This year we added Afterpay as a payment option on eBay, offering shoppers a responsible budgeting tool by splitting the cost into four fortnightly instalments without interest, so they can bag a bargain as they see them."

Black Friday is a 24-hour event, which will be held this year on 27 November. The mega sales event is closely followed by Cyber Monday, which falls on 30 November and sees even more bargains offered by online stores.
