How to get the BINGE 14-day free trial: Step by step guide

New customers can access Foxtel's BINGE for free with a 14-day free trial. This is how to get the BINGE free trial and what it gives you.

Fact checked

There's another exciting streaming video on demand (SVOD) service in Australia and it's BINGE. BINGE is a sister product to Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports, focusing on award-winning and binge-worthy TV boxsets and movies. However, the catalogue extends to reality TV, lifestyle, documentaries and in the future, even kids' programming.

BINGE is a compelling SVOD service, but it enters a competitive market. As well as the aforementioned apps, there's also Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+ and Stan fighting for consumer dollars. Thankfully, you don't have to commit to BINGE blind. There is a BINGE free trial that gives you 14 days to try out the app and to decide whether it is right for you.

How do I get the BINGE TV free trial?

Signing up to the BINGE free trial is fast and easy. In fact, if you have all the required information on hand, you'll be signed up and watching BINGE in under five minutes.

  1. Make your way across to the BINGE website and look for the big start your free trial button.
  2. You will need to select your plan, so make sure you've done your research.
  3. You will also need to provide your email address and password.
  4. Then add payment details and a phone number.
  5. Finally, confirm your account.

As soon as that process is complete, you're good to go. Just log in to the BINGE website with the details you selected. Alternatively, download the app onto your preferred device and log in there. If you need any help getting started we've got a full step-by-step guide.

What does the BINGE free trial give you access to?

There are no restrictions with the 14-day BINGE free trial. For that entire period, you will get access to all the movies, TV shows, live channels and documentaries. You also get to try out all the features, such as BINGELists, BINGE Centre and Discover. You can access BINGE through any of the available devices. These include PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV and Telstra TV.

Is there a catch to the BINGE free trial?

Cancelling your BINGE subscription is as easy and quick as signing up. You simply log in to the BINGE website and select your account from the settings. There you'll see a big cancel button you can press. You can do this at any time. However, we always recommend setting up a calendar event or other such alarm on the 13th day just to make sure you remember the deadline and can make the right decision before being charged.

If there is a catch, it's only that if you continue to a 15th day after signing up for the BINGE free trial, you will be charged a fee based on the plan tier you selected. So, either $10, $14 or $18.

There are other things to consider. You do need to provide your personal information and payment details in order to access the 14-day BINGE free trial. This is standard procedure across all SVOD apps and is secure, but worth being aware of.

There are also data consumption costs to consider. Depending on your home broadband or mobile broadband plan and your consumption of the BINGE service, this may or may not be a problem. You can find more details on BINGE's data consumption on our main hub page.
