Stock up on Switch game bargains ahead of the holidays.

Nintendo Switch deals at Black Friday are plentiful, but bargains on the gift cards you can use to purchase downloads are a little rarer.

But this week, Big W has a solid 10% discount on Nintendo gift cards, including DLC, Subscription and Currency cards.

Snapping up some cards before the offer runs out on Monday 27 September could be a good money-saving move. Keeping a few $10 cards as handy emergency present ideas can be useful if you have kids and want to avoid last-minute birthday present issues.

Here's what you'll pay for common card amounts with the discount. (You might not find all card values in your local Big W.)

Card valueDiscounted price
$10.00$9.00
$20.00$18.00
$35.00$31.50
$50.00$45.00
$60.00$54.00

As is usually the case with gift card offers, you have to buy the cards in store.

This isn't the biggest Nintendo gift card deal we've seen this year. Coles had 20% off back in September, but that only applied to eShop cards.

Points enthusiasts should also remember that you won't earn Everyday Rewards points on gift card purchases. That's only possible when bonus points offers are running.
