Here’s how to start the application process:

  • Compare policy options. Make sure the policy you decide on covers all of your needs.
  • Get a quote. Compare the premiums for each level of cover and get the policy that fits both your needs and budget.
  • Read up on what’s covered. Not only should you read and understood the product disclosure statement (PDS), you should go online and check out reviews of the policy.
  • Check out any additional options available. If you’re planning specific activities or travelling with valuable items, make sure your policy offers optional extras to provide the cover you need.

Need to make a claim? What you need to do

  1. Give immediate notice. Let Allianz know about your claim as soon as possible. Fill in and send the claims form to the client services department, making sure to provide all the necessary information. Get in touch with Allianz Assist in the case of a medical emergency.
  2. Provide all relevant supporting documentation. Additional information includes police reports, written statements from travel providers, valuations, medical reports, proof of ownership and original receipts.
  3. Be honest. You are required by law to tell Allianz everything you know so that its assessors can make a decision about whether or not to approve your claim. If it’s found that your information is false or lacking, your claim might not be honoured and your policy cancelled.
