Best time to go to Dubai

November–March.

Why?

For Dubai the weather year-round is consistently hot, so travelling during the winter months between November and March provides weather that is more pleasurable for sightseeing and activities. You can escape the crowds by visiting during the summer months, but be prepared for extremely hot days and high humidity levels.

Overview

In Dubai the weather is consistently hot and humid. That’s why it is best to visit during the “winter” months, November to March, where the temperature is still hot but bearable for holiday activities.

Dubai is a popular tourist destination so November to March will be the busiest period. We recommend either booking early or visiting during the outskirts of the busier months, meaning late October or early April, when accommodation prices will be lower and crowds minimal.

Weather and prices

Best time to go to Dubai, weather-wise: Travelling during Dubai’s winter months, November to March, provides travellers with sunny weather and minimal rainfall.

Cheapest time to go to Dubai: Travelling during Dubai’s summer months, April to September, means lower accommodation prices and minimal crowds.

Best time to go to Dubai...

  • The Dubai Mall: Dubai is home to the world’s largest shopping centre, with over 1,200 retailers as well as a theatre and aquarium inside its walls. The mall is a destination worth visiting all year-round as it is indoors and away from the heat.
  • Desert excursions: See all that Dubai has to offer on a desert tour. It is best to book a desert tour during November to March when the weather is bearable. It is cheaper to do this during the summer months when there are minimal crowds, but keep in mind the weather can be excruciatingly hot out in the desert at this time of year.
  • Sunbaking: Dubai’s constant sunny weather means that those looking to relax on the beach are in luck and during November to March is the best time to do so.
  • Gold and Spice Souks: For those looking for cheap activities, all the souks or “markets” in Dubai are free and offer an afternoon of leisurely entertainment. Strolling the markets is best during November to March when the weather is bearable.
