The best time to go to Canada, weatherwise: If you are hoping to see snow, travelling between December and March is ideal. If you are hoping to see sunshine, travelling between June and August is best.
The cheapest time to go to Canada: Travelling during the shoulder periods of whatever season you wish to experience will allow for cheaper prices. For the winter season, travelling in early December or late March will mean cheaper prices. For the summer season, travelling in early June or late August is best for cheapest prices on accommodation and activities. Alternatively,searching for hotel deals and flights at least three to four months before you travel can be a great way to save.

- Skiing: Canada offers some of the most idyllic ski resorts in the world, such as Whistler and Banff. For the best snow conditions, visiting resorts such as Whistler and Banff during late-January to March is best. For the best prices on accommodation and ski tickets, travel during late December or early April.
- The Maritimes: The Maritimes, Canada’s most eastern provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island), offer some amazing historical and cultural activities. Famous for their seafood and abundance of national parks, the Maritimes are best experienced between October and December when Autumn is in full swing.
- Niagara Falls: For the best weather conditions, visit Niagara Falls from mid May until mid September. The peak season for Niagara Falls is in July and August so avoid these times for cheaper prices.
- The Rocky Mountains: A World Heritage Site, the Canadian Rockies are one of the most spectacular places to visit. Travelling during June and September will mean experiencing the Rocky Mountains at their most warm and picturesque. If you’re hoping to hike with little crowds, visit during early June or September.
