Have you ever wanted to return something that wasn't quite right only to find that the store won't accept returns? Or perhaps you don't want to pay the expensive return postage? Well there are a few stores out there that have some truly customer-friendly returns policies.
We've looked through Australian retail and found some of the best. Read on to see where you can get hassle-free returns in Australia.
Top sites with best return policies
Princess Polly is one of the few young women's boutiques that offers full refunds.
This is why we love Princess Polly! This store will refund you (even on sales items) if you return within 30 days. It will set you back $6 for return postage but if you choose a store credit refund PP will cover the return shipping.
THE ICONIC will give you a full refund if you return within 30 days.
You can also choose to refund your purchase for store credit at 110% of the original price. THE ICONIC also covers the return postage charges and its postage bags are reusable.
Return your item within 30 days and SurfStitch will give you your money back or exchange the item for another size.
Note that the returns period for sale items is 30 days. SurfStitch also covers the cost of the return. Yes, it offers free returns. There are a few rules around hygiene for returns, so double check the returns policy if you're returning swimwear.

David Jones has Flexible 30- and 60-day returns. There are a few special exceptions but mostly, if you have your receipt you'll get cash back. No receipt and you'll get store credit. Returning by post is at your own cost.
NET-A-PORTER has 28-day returns and will pick up your items for free.
NET-A-PORTER easily has one of the best ever returns policies. You can get your cash back, even if you've just changed your mind. Plus, your returns will be picked up by DHL from your door for free!
Lee does free delivery and free 90-day returns.

You have 30 days to return your purchase if you change your mind. You can drop off the goods or organise pick-up (pick-up and redelivery fees apply).
While Fantastic Furniture won't necessarily cover the cost of your return, you get 30 days to change your mind. You'll get your cash back too, not just store credit.
Foot Locker has a 28-day returns policy from the date of delivery.
Items may be exchanged or refunded, returns are free, and you can return them via mail or in-store. Goods must be in original, sellable condition and in the sneaker box, with no packing tape on the box.
North Face offers a massive 90 days to return your items. And returns are free.
Goods must have been purchased online at Northface.com.au within Australia and be in saleable condition. Just fill in the details on the returns page and you will have a postage label sent to you by email. Registered users can print the postage label and view the status of returns from My Account.
There are 30-day easy, free returns at this popular label.
You've got nothing to lose! You can choose from drop-off options or use Australia Post. Both are free. You can also use Parcelpoint. Separate returns must be sent for every order number. Items can't be exchanged – but don't worry, you can return your item and place a new order.
ASICS allows you to return your goods for up to 45 days.
Return costs are to be paid for by the customer. Goods need to be in the condition that they were received and have tags and packaging included. You can return your goods via post or to your nearest ASICS brand store (but not at a stockist).
Brosa allows you to test your furniture and return it for up to 21 days from the date of delivery.
Get to know if you truly love the look and feel of your new furniture in your home and if you're not 100% happy you can return it within 21 days. Return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
Presently Ray Ban offers 30-day returns, extended from 14 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Returns are free. If you don't absolutely love the look of your new Ray Bans you can return them. If your glasses are damaged you can also have them repaired in-store.
Gazman offers 30-day returns.
Returns are free of charge for a limited time. You can also exchange your items and your new item will be sent to you via complimentary post. You will receive a reply-paid envelope from Gazman when you apply for your return online.
Charles & Keith offers 30-day local returns.
Shipping fees are payable unless the order is wrong or the goods are defective. Returns are inspected and must be approved by Charles & Keith before your refund is processed. Goods must be in original condition with tags attached.
Nike offers 30-day returns.
There are no return fees from this iconic store. If you are not 100% satisfied with your Nike purchase you can send it back for a refund. The returns process is easy and generally only takes 4 working days to process. It may take an additional 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account. Some exemptions apply.
30-day returns are available.
An AUD$5 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. Some items such as face masks, earrings and hosiery cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Simply log in to your account to start the process, or complete the guest return form if you do not have an account.
General Pants has 30-day easy returns. Customers are responsible for return shipping.
Any full price or promotional item can be returned for a refund. Simply complete the returns form online and you will be guided through the process. Items marked Final Sale cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged.
Skechers allows you to return your items for 30 days.
Comfortable, stylish and durable. Sketchers is proud of its brand and wants you to feel the same way. If you aren't 100% happy with the product you can return it online or in-store for a store credit, exchange or refund. Customers must pay return postage costs.
Puma offers a generous free 50-day returns policy.
It is free to return your goods to Puma. Only 1 free return can also be given per order. If you wish to return other items from your order later on, shipping fees for these items will need to be paid for by you. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
H&M currently offers an extended 60-day returns period (during COVID) from purchase date on most items.
There are free returns for H&M Members. It pays to belong! If you are not a member, return shipping fees of AUD$10.95 apply, which will be deducted from your refund.
The Athlete's Foot has you covered when it comes to sneakers and footwear. It offers free returns.
If you need to exchange your new runners or footwear you are also eligible for a once-off personalised exchange and refitting. You can easily return your items online or in-store.
