The 25 best PC rigs of QuakeCon

The 21st QuakeCon event in Dallas, Texas has just wrapped up, and we spent some time roaming the floor looking for the most impressive PC rig.

First id Software, and now parent company Bethesda, have something special in their annual QuakeCon event. Now in its 21st year it’s not only an opportunity for the publisher to show off new footage and hands-on sessions from its suite of titles, but it’s a jaw-dropping multiplayer gaming showdown.

The BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event sees hundreds of gamers turn up and play games of all genres against each other for three days. Fuelled by crates of caffeine-filled drinks, it goes all night and all day, and it’s quite a sight to behold.

We went for a wander around the impressive hall, lit up by hundreds of screens and pimped-out desktops. We took some snaps as we went of some of the most impressive machines, so you too can drool with envy over some of the kits these hardest of core gamers have built. Most of them looked like something you would expect under the bonnet of a Lotus or in a flux capacitor! Enjoy the gallery, and keep an eye on finder for more content over the coming days, including new information about Prey and Quake Champions.
