Here are some top tips from TripAdvisor users:
- “Most calls will be made to people in and around Banja Luka. Since most people in Banja Luka use m:tel as their mobile operator, m:tel would be your best option”
- “The biggest telecom operator in Bosnia is m:tel. You also have BH Telecom and Eronet. My suggestion is m:tel for a good 3G connection”
- “Be careful of the APN settings on your phone. Perhaps your phone will figure out how to setup the APN automatically. If not, you might want to figure out how to do that yourself ahead of time because it can be a problem”
- “m:tel seems to get great reception all over the country. The SIM I bought cost only about USD$3, very cheap”

Q: What about other providers in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
A: There are three more operators in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Go free!, Haloo and Happy time, that are MVNOs on the other networks we have mentioned. They also offer good plans and deals, so we advise you to really do your homework to work out which SIM card option is the best fit for you. We have included some of their packages above, but check promotions and new deals that can crop up at any time.
